25kVA-250kVA Modular UPS
25–250kVA Modular UPS System for Efficient Power Protection, Flexible Capacity Planning and Reliable Backup Power in Server Rooms, Commercial Facilities and Industrial Applications
ShanPu 25KVA-250KVA modular UPS is a scalable three-phase online double-conversion UPS built on a 25kVA hot-swappable power module, designed for medium-sized data centers, enterprise IT infrastructure and other critical loads. Cabinets accept 3, 5 or 10 modules, covering 25-75kVA, 25-125kVA and 25-250kVA. Output is regulated 380/400/415Vac pure sine wave at power factor 1.0 with 0ms transfer between mains, bypass and battery modes, system efficiency reaches 95.5% and input power factor stays ≥0.99, while cabinet charging current of up to 100A and ±180V to ±300Vdc battery banks support demanding backup requirements.
How the Modular UPS Works
During normal utility operation, the incoming AC power enters the UPS rectifier and is converted into DC power. The DC bus supplies the inverter, which then produces stable AC output for the connected equipment.
Because the system uses online double conversion, the load is continuously supplied through the inverter rather than directly from the utility input. This helps reduce the effect of voltage fluctuations, electrical noise and other common power-quality disturbances.
The battery is maintained in a charged state while utility power is available. If the utility power fails, the battery takes over the DC supply to the inverter without requiring a manual transfer, allowing the UPS to continue supporting the load.
The 25-250kVA system uses multiple power modules to achieve the required output capacity. Modules can operate together and, depending on the system configuration, additional modules can be used to provide redundancy or support future capacity requirements.
Key Features
Optimized for 25-250kVA Applications
With a 25-250kVA capacity range, this UPS provides a practical solution for facilities whose power requirements fall between smaller standalone UPS systems and larger high-capacity installations.
Capacity That Can Grow with the Load
The modular design allows the system to be configured around actual power requirements. When the facility adds servers, equipment or additional electrical loads, the UPS can be expanded accordingly rather than being replaced by an entirely new system.
Improved Power Availability
The system can be configured with redundant modules to provide additional operating capacity. This N+X architecture helps support continuous operation for applications where power availability is an important requirement.
Efficient Operation & Space Planning
A modular UPS allows system capacity to be planned more precisely around the actual load. This can help avoid excessive initial capacity and make better use of available equipment-room space.
Centralized Intelligent Management
DSP-based digital control manages the operation of the UPS system, while communication options such as RS485 and optional SNMP can support remote monitoring and system management.
Applications
Small and Medium-Sized Data Centers
The 25-250kVA modular UPS is well suited to small and medium-sized data centers that require dependable power protection without deploying an unnecessarily large UPS system. Its modular configuration makes capacity planning more flexible as IT loads change.
Corporate Server Rooms
For corporate server rooms supporting applications, databases, communications and network infrastructure, the UPS provides stable online power protection. The scalable architecture allows the power system to develop alongside the company's IT requirements.
Commercial Buildings
Shopping centers, office buildings and commercial facilities can use the UPS to protect communication systems, IT equipment, security systems and other important loads. Its modular configuration provides a practical approach to managing changing electrical requirements.
Healthcare & Service Facilities
Hospitals, clinics and other service-oriented facilities rely on continuous power for electronic equipment and critical information systems. The UPS provides conditioned power and backup capability for loads where unexpected power interruptions can affect operations.
Light Industrial Applications
The UPS can support automation equipment, control systems, monitoring devices and other sensitive electrical loads in light industrial environments. Reliable power protection helps reduce interruptions caused by unstable utility conditions.
Typical Configurations
Step 1 - Size the load. Add up the connected critical load in kW and convert at power factor 1.0; select the cabinet whose module count covers both the load and the required redundancy level.
Step 2 - Choose the cabinet by module count. ECOplus 75-25 (3 modules, 25-75kVA), 125-25 (5 modules, 25-125kVA) or 250-25 (10 modules, 25-250kVA).
Step 3 - Set the redundancy level. Define N+X by installing modules beyond the minimum required by the load, and decide between high-availability parallel-redundant deployment and standalone operation.
Step 4 - Match the battery and environment. Select the battery string voltage from ±180V to ±300Vdc (30-50 cells optional); module charging current is 10A and cabinet charging current is 30A / 50A / 100A. Install within 0-40°C, 0-95% RH (non-condensing) and below 1500m altitude (derate 1% per 100m above 1000m).

FAQ
What is a 25–250kVA Modular UPS?
A 25–250kVA Modular UPS is a scalable online UPS system designed for medium-sized data centers, enterprise IT infrastructure and other critical loads. Multiple power modules work together to provide the required capacity and redundancy.
How does a 25–250kVA Modular UPS work?
Under normal conditions, the rectifier converts incoming AC power into DC, and the inverter supplies stable AC power to the load. When utility power fails, the battery immediately supplies energy to the inverter to maintain power to connected equipment.
What are the advantages of a modular UPS for medium-sized facilities?
A modular UPS provides flexible capacity planning, N+X redundancy and easier maintenance. It can be configured closer to the actual load and expanded as the facility's power requirements increase.
How does modular architecture improve UPS scalability?
Instead of replacing the complete UPS when additional capacity is required, the system can accommodate additional power modules within its designed capacity range. This makes the UPS suitable for facilities with planned load growth.
Does the 25–250kVA UPS support N+1 or N+X redundancy?
Yes. Additional power modules can be configured as redundant capacity according to the required system architecture. N+1 or higher N+X configurations can help improve availability for critical loads.
Can individual UPS modules be maintained or replaced separately?
The modular architecture is designed to simplify module-level maintenance. Depending on the system configuration and operating conditions, individual power modules can be serviced or replaced without treating the complete UPS as a single power unit.
Is this UPS suitable for server rooms and enterprise data centers?
Yes. The 25–250kVA capacity range is suitable for enterprise server rooms, medium-sized data centers, network infrastructure and other IT environments requiring reliable online power protection.
Does the UPS support remote monitoring?
The UPS can support communication interfaces such as RS485, while SNMP can be available for remote monitoring depending on the configuration. These interfaces can be integrated into centralized UPS or facility monitoring systems.
