100KVA-1200KVA Modular UPS
Scalable Modular Online UPS with N+X Redundancy, High Efficiency and Flexible Capacity from 100kVA to 1200kVA
ShanPu 100KVA-1200KVA modular UPS is a three-phase online double-conversion UPS built on a 100kVA hot-swappable power module, designed for large data centers, telecom hubs, financial institutions and mission-critical infrastructure. A single 100kVA module scales from 100kVA in the smallest cabinet to 1200kVA in the largest, and up to four systems can be paralleled for a maximum installed capacity of 4800kVA. Output is regulated 380/400/415Vac pure sine wave at power factor 1.0 with 0ms transfer between mains, bypass and battery modes; system efficiency reaches ≥96% while input power factor stays ≥0.99, and cabinet capacity can be expanded on demand by adding modules rather than replacing the whole system.
How Does a Modular Online UPS Work?
The modular online UPS uses an online double-conversion architecture to provide continuous and stable power to critical loads. The basic power flow is: AC Grid → Rectifier → DC Bus → Inverter → Critical Loads, while the battery system connects to the DC side: Battery → DC Bus → Inverter → Critical Loads.
During normal operation, utility AC power is converted into DC power through the rectifier and then converted back into stable AC power through the inverter. This double-conversion process helps protect connected equipment from voltage fluctuations, frequency variations and other common power disturbances.
When the utility power fails or becomes abnormal, the battery immediately supplies energy to the DC bus. The inverter continues to provide AC power to the critical loads, maintaining uninterrupted operation with 0ms transfer.
Product Advantages
Modular & Scalable Design
The modular architecture allows users to configure UPS capacity according to actual load requirements. Additional power modules can be added as the electrical load increases, helping customers avoid unnecessary initial investment and making future capacity expansion easier.
N+X Redundancy for High Availability
Multiple power modules operate together to provide the required UPS capacity. With an N+X redundant configuration, additional modules provide backup capacity beyond the minimum number required for the connected load. If a power module fails, the remaining modules continue supplying the load within the available system capacity, and the centralized control architecture is designed so that a single module failure does not necessarily interrupt operation of the entire system. Under the specified redundant configuration the system can reach an availability level of 99.999%.
High Efficiency (≥96%)
The UPS adopts advanced conversion technology and a modular architecture, with system efficiency of ≥96% according to the specifications. Higher efficiency helps reduce energy losses and operating costs in large UPS installations.
Flexible Capacity Configuration
The product range covers 100kVA to 1200kVA, allowing users to select an appropriate capacity according to current load requirements. Up to four systems can be connected in parallel, with a maximum system capacity of 4800kVA.
Advanced Monitoring & Control
The UPS features a color LCD touchscreen that provides detailed operating status, alarm information and fault information. Optional communication and monitoring accessories - including SNMP cards, relay interfaces and dry contacts - can be configured for different management requirements.
Space-Saving Modular Architecture
The modular design helps optimize the installation footprint compared with conventional large-capacity UPS architectures. Shared battery configurations can also reduce the number of batteries required in certain system configurations.

Typical Configurations
Step 1 - Size the load. Add up the connected critical load in kW and convert at power factor 1.0; select the cabinet whose module count covers both the load and the required redundancy level.
Step 2 - Choose the cabinet by module count. ECOplus 300-100 (3 modules, 100-300kVA), 600-100 (6 modules, 100-600kVA), 800-100 (8 modules, 100-800kVA), 1000-100 (10 modules, 100-1000kVA) or 1200-100 (12 modules, 100-1200kVA).
Step 3 - Set the redundancy level. Define N+X by installing modules beyond the minimum required by the load, for example N+1 for a single fault-tolerant tier.
Step 4 - Match the battery and environment. Select the battery string voltage from 360-630VDC (30-52 cells, no neutral required) with module charging current default 20A / maximum 30A, and install within 0-40°C, 0-95% RH (non-condensing) and below 1500m altitude (derate 1% per 100m above 1000m).
